Bio

Jeremy Smith is a Senior Consultant with RSZ Forensic Associates and brings significant audit and corporate accounting experience to assist the firm’s client-attorneys and their respective clients. He is a CPA and has provided accounting, audit, and tax services in a corporate setting, along with clients in the public sector and various small business industries.

Prior to joining RSZ, Jeremy worked as an Accounting Manager for an international real estate development and investment company. In this role, he managed the accounting function for multiple holding and operations companies, instituted new procedures to streamline the financial reporting process, and served as a subject matter expert for unique financial transactions.

Jeremy also previously worked for regional CPA firms in the areas of audit and taxation. As an auditor-in-charge, he cultivated relationships with clients, oversaw the audit process end-to-end, and efficiently managed engagement budgets. In this role he also provided professional education workshops to local accounting and client organizations.

His areas of expertise include financial statement preparation, compliance and control testing, and communicating effectively with both internal and with external stakeholders, which contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting.

In addition to his professional activities, Jeremy gives back to his community by volunteering at his children’s schools and coaching youth sports.
